Somerset put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Penns Valley Area Rams. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Rams, too.

Garrett Reese looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Kahne Foltz was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Cole Lucas, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Somerset's win was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-0. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.8 runs over those games. As for Penns Valley Area, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Somerset will square off against Forest Hills at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Penns Valley Area, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Moshannon Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
