Basketball Recap: San Rafael Snags Seventh Victory in Last Eight Games

San Rafael proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by 26) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 54-51 victory over the Lowell Cardinals. The 54-point effort marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

San Rafael is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. As for Lowell, their loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. San Rafael won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Marin Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Lowell, they are taking a road trip to challenge The Academy - San Francisco at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
