Baseball Recap: Lena-Winslow Panthers vs. Durand/Pecatonica Rivermen
After a string of nine wins, Lena-Winslow's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They suffered a rough 14-7 defeat at the hands of the Durand/Pecatonica Rivermen. Lena-Winslow was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Durand/Pecatonica apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played last Tuesday.
Aiden Wild was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now stolen at least one in the last three games he's played. Even though they lost, Lena-Winslow was hitting in the alleys and finished the game with three doubles. This was only their first loss (out of four games) when they post three or more doubles.
