It was a good run, but Knox Central unfortunately witnessed the end of their 14-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 52-42 to the South Laurel Cardinals. If the Panthers were looking for revenge after losing 72-45 to the Cardinals when the teams met back in December of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Knox Central's loss dropped their record down to 25-5. As for South Laurel, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 20 of their last 21 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-5 record this season.

Knox Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for South Laurel, they and North Laurel will face off at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with North Laurel sitting on ten straight wins and South Laurel on five.
