Football Recap: New Dorp Takes a Loss

New Dorp fell victim to Erasmus Hall and their airtight defense on Friday. They had to suffer through a 47-0 loss at the hands of the Dutchmen. While losing is never fun, the Central Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 271st, while the Dutchmen are ranked 12th).

Kendu Brown was nothing short of spectacular for Erasmus Hall: he rushed for 61 yards and one TD on only five carries, and also threw for 109 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only six passes. Logan Clark-Laurent was another key player, gaining 95 total yards and two touchdowns.

This is the second loss in a row for New Dorp and nudges their season record down to 0-2. As for Erasmus Hall, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.
