Football Recap: Fort Bend Bush Broncos vs. Alief Taylor Lions
Fort Bend Bush was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a 37-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Alief Taylor Lions. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Broncos of the 28-20 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2021.
Jaxson Adeoye was nothing short of spectacular for Alief Taylor: he rushed for 126 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.9 yards per carry, and also picked up 33 receiving yards. That's the most rushing yards Adeoye has posted since back in September of 2023. Another player making a difference was Logan Gray, who threw for 133 yards and a touchdown while completing 76.9% of his passes.
Fort Bend Bush's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Alief Taylor, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fort Bend Bush will head out to face off against Fort Bend Clements at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Alief Taylor, they will challenge Heights at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Alief Taylor focused on turnovers this week as team gave up four on Friday.
