Maple Grove entered their tilt with Chautauqua Lake on Saturday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured an 8-7 W against the Thunderbirds. For the Red Dragons, this counts as revenge for the 7-3 win the Thunderbirds walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2025.

Maple Grove's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Chautauqua Lake, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-4.

Chautauqua Lake has already played their next matchup, a 6-5 win against Brocton on the 11th. Hopefully Maple Grove paid attention to the Thunderbirds' contest: the next time they hit the field , they'll take on the Thunderbirds at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
