Wharton had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They blew past the Freedom Patriots 37-0. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Patriots recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Among those leading the charge was Christopher Hilton, who picked up 66 receiving yards and two TDs.

Wharton's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB five times. The heavy lifting was done by Dwayne Williams Jr and Elijah Stratford, who racked up four sacks between them.

Looking ahead, Wharton will take on Tampa Bay Tech at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Freedom, they will face off against Chamberlain at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
