Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fort Stockton). They claimed a resounding 104-52 victory over the Pecos Eagles. Given the Panthers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 552nd, while the Eagles are ranked 1478th), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Fort Stockton's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aundre Washington, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 15 rebounds. Those 15 boards gave Washington a new career-high. Evan Cordero was another key player, going 9 of 10 en route to 22 points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals.

Fort Stockton was working as a unit and finished the game with 27 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Fort Stockton's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-8. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 41.5 points. As for Pecos, they are on a 14-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-15.
