The Coconut Creek Cougars scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They put the hurt on Pompano Beach with a sharp 70-49 win. Coconut Creek has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matchups by 21 points or more this season.
It was another big night for Abigail Theophile, who dropped a double-double on 30 points and 29 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Tessan Parchment, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds and six assists.
When it comes to explaining why Pompano Beach lost, one person who can't be blamed is Sydney Lumpkins. Despite the final result, she scored 29 points. Ella Paterson was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Coconut Creek pushed their record up to 7-6 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 26 points. As for Pompano Beach, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.

As for Pompano Beach, they will head out on the road to face off against Piper at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
