Baseball Recap: Washingtonville Takes a Loss

After soaring to 20 runs the game before, Washingtonville was a bit more limited in their match on Wednesday. They lost 10-2 to the Valley Central Vikings. The Wizards were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Vikings earlier this season, when they won 11-2.

Washingtonville saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brennan Tesseyman, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Washingtonville's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Valley Central, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.

Washingtonville has already played their next contest, a 4-3 defeat against Cornwall Central on the 26th. As for Valley Central, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 4-1 win against Minisink Valley on the 26th.
