Volleyball Recap: Academe of the Oaks Comes Up Short

Academe of the Oaks was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against The New School, falling 3-0. The Firebirds were not able to make up for their defeat to The New School from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-12, 25-9.

Avery Pribble paced Academe of the Oaks' offense, picking up five kills. Pribble really made an impact as she also led the team in assists with six. Sofia Almond-Rubio controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Academe of the Oaks' loss dropped their record down to 1-7.

Academe of the Oaks has already played their next contest (against Lighthouse Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. The New School will be paying especially close attention to Academe of the Oaks' match: after Academe of the Oaks faces off against Howard, they'll take on The New School again at 4:30 p.m. on the 9th.
