Volleyball Game Preview: San Gorgonio Spartans vs. Rim of the World Fighting Scots

The San Gorgonio Spartans will venture away from home to challenge the Rim of the World Fighting Scots at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. San Gorgonio is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.

San Gorgonio saw some tournament action on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to Orange.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Rim of the World, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. They blew past Eisenhower 3-0 on Friday. That looming 3-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Fighting Scots yet this season.

Rim of the World never let Eisenhower on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-10, 25-22.

San Gorgonio's loss dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Rim of the World, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-8 record.

Everything went San Gorgonio's way against Rim of the World in their previous meeting back in March, as San Gorgonio made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Spartans since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
