Traiton Mauffray commands the offense for Sharks win

Recap: Destin Sharks vs. Lighthouse Private Christian Academy Stingrays

There's no place like home for the Destin Sharks, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Wednesday. They skirted past Lighthouse Private Christian Academy 74-71. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Destin has posted yet this season.

Destin got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Traiton Mauffray out in front who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and seven assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryson Nixon, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Several Stingrays players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Arthur Rosado, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rosado has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Arthur Casagrande, who scored 19 points along with two steals.

Destin now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Lighthouse Private Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 11-9.

Destin will be playing in front of their home fans against West Florida at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully West Florida focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Thursday. As for Lighthouse Private Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge Northview at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
