Softball Recap: Polytech Falls Short Against Ranked Lake Forest

Polytech faced Lake Forest in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Panthers lost 8-0 to the Spartans. The match marked the first time this year in which the Panthers were not able to get on the board.

This is the second loss in a row for Polytech and nudges their season record down to 6-2. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 5-0 Sussex Academy (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 100% over those games). As for Lake Forest, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 7-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Polytech will take on Caesar Rodney at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lake Forest, they will face off against Sussex Academy at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
