Volleyball Game Preview: Cuba Rams vs. Sandia Prep Sundevils + Official Tickets

Cuba hasn't had much luck against Sandia Prep recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Rams will be playing at home against the Sundevils at 6:15 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Thursday.

Cuba took a loss when they played away from home last Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed last Tuesday. They put the hurt on Escalante with a sharp 3-0 win. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

While Cuba won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-11, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Sandia Prep had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Timberwolves as they made off with a 3-0 victory.

One reason for the win was Sandia Prep's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-18, 25-8.

The win got Cuba back to even at 7-7. As for Sandia Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 11-3.

Cuba might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Sandia Prep in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Rams avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
