After a string of three wins, Scottsdale Preparatory Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of the Desert Sunrise Golden Hawks by a score of 2-1.

Sophie Ryken paced Scottsdale Preparatory Academy's offense, picking up ten kills. Ryken got some help from Morgan Everton and her 25 assists.

Liran Mcanelly had an outrageously good game for Desert Sunrise as she had 22 digs and two assists.

Scottsdale Preparatory Academy's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Desert Sunrise, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.

Scottsdale Preparatory Academy has already played their next game, a 3-2 win against Horizon Honors on the 16th. As for Desert Sunrise, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Sierra Linda on the 16th.
