Softball Recap: Noble Comes Up Short

Noble had lost five straight on the road, but on Wednesday they dropped down to 3-10 to make it six. They came up short against the Cheverus Stags, falling 15-0. The Knights were not able to make up for their defeat to the Stags from their previous meeting back in April of 2025.

As for Cheverus, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games.

For Cheverus' part, Abby Kelly was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Maddie Brown, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Noble is set to face off against their familiar foe Biddeford at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Cheverus will take on rival Deering at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
