            Softball Recap: Lake Fenton Blue Devils vs. Williamston Hornets        
        
		
        
        
            Lake Fenton's game  on Tuesday was a  loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Wednesday. They walked away with  an   8-5  win over the Williamston Hornets.
 Maddie Stanton (2027) spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned  (and two unearned) runs on six hits.
 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Laureena Baehl (2027), who  fired off two  home runs, three  RBI,  and one  double while going 3-for-4. That's the most  home runs  she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was  Parker Beardsley (Mott Community Coll, who  went 2-for-3 with two  runs, one  triple,  and one  stolen base.
 They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Lake Fenton  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 11  hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  got at least eight  hits in four consecutive  games.
Lake Fenton's record is now 30-6. As for Williamston,  they are  on  a  four-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 18-13.
The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Hornets beat Lake Fenton by a score of  7-1 later that day.
