Jonathan Alder extended their winning streak to five on Friday, bumping them up to 5-0. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Shawnee Braves 55-20. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Pioneers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 118th, while the Braves are ranked 568th).

As for Shawnee, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5. On the bright side, the 20- point performance marked their highest-scoring matchup to date.

Shawnee's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Derek Boehmer, who threw for 249 yards and a pair of touchdowns. Zain DeWeese was in the mix too, providing the Braves with two TDs.

Jonathan Alder wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 31-7 win against Tecumseh on the 26th. As for Shawnee, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 28-13 defeat against Northwestern on the 26th.
