Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Allatoona). They blew past the North Paulding Wolfpack 79-56 on Friday. Given the Buccaneers' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 135th, while the Wolfpack are ranked 335th) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Allatoona has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.0 points over those games. As for North Paulding, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-10.

Looking ahead, Allatoona will be taking part in a tournament against Ringgold at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. The Buccaneers will need to watch out since the Tigers have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. North Paulding and Fannin County will round out the year against one another at 4:30 p.m. on the 29th.
