Football Recap: Tyrone Buchanan Iii and Damien Gibson Jr Pace Simmons Defense + How To Watch

Simmons and Calhoun City squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Simmons had to settle for second. They took a 14-8 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wildcats. The matchup was a 8-8 toss-up at halftime, but the Blue Devils couldn't quite close it out.

Simmons didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Tyrone Buchanan Iii and Damien Gibson Jr. Gibson Jr got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Having lost for the first time this season, Simmons fell to 12-1. As for Calhoun City, they pushed their record up to 13-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

As of now, neither Simmons nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
