Football Recap: Robinson Knights vs. Plant Panthers
Friday just wasn't the day for Robinson's offense. They had to suffer through a 59-0 loss at the hands of the Plant Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 245th, while the Panthers are ranked 52nd).
Tripp Brown was a one-man wrecking crew for Plant as he threw for 180 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 passes, and also rushed for 40 yards and two touchdowns. The dominant performance gave him a new career- in total yards. Ben Mackinnon was in the mix too, providing Plant with two touchdowns.
Robinson's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 0-2. As for Plant, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Robinson will take on Wharton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Plant, they will head out to challenge Tampa Bay Tech at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Tampa Bay Tech focused on turnovers this week as team gave up five on Friday.
