Basketball Recap: Wootton Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Wootton was the 54-42 winner over Rockville when they last played one another back in December of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Patriots were just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 60-59 to the Rams. The Patriots' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it six in a row dating back to last season.

Despite the loss, Wootton still got an impressive performance from Chase Mitchell, who posted 24 points along with eight assists and three steals. Mitchell is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least three every time he's taken the court this season. Chase Winokur was another key player, going 5-for-10 on his way to 16 points.

Rockville can attribute much of their success to Andre Olmos, who earned four points.

Wootton's record is now 0-3. As for Rockville, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Wootton will be home for the holidays to greet Damascus at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Rockville will take on Northwood in a holiday battle on Monday.
