Soccer Recap: Lebanon Trail Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

On TuesdayIndependence kept up with Lebanon Trail until halftime, but afterwards: not so much. The Lebanon Trail Trail Blazers never let the Independence Knights get on the board and left with a 3-0 win. Given the Trail Blazers' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 190th, while the Knights are ranked 526th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lebanon Trail has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-5-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 15 goals over those five matchups. Independence has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 0-11-3 record this season.

As of now, neither Lebanon Trail nor Independence have any future games scheduled.
