Baseball Recap: Cherokee County Falls Short of Cordova in the Playoffs

Cherokee County and Cordova squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Cherokee County had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Blue Devils by a score of 2-0. Considering the last time the Warriors couldn't score was back in February, the team can't take the result too hard.

Cherokee County's defeat dropped their record down to 21-14-1. As for Cordova, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-15 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Cordova beat Cherokee County by a score of 8-1 later that day.
