Baseball Recap: Beechwood Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Beechwood came tearing into Saturday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.3 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against the Fleming County Panthers as they made off with a 9-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won 16 matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Roland King looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Beechwood let Tyler Fryman and Caleb Arrasmith run wild. Fryman went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double, while Arrasmith went 3-for-4 with five RBI, one stolen base, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Sawyer Carlisle, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

Beechwood kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in five consecutive games.

Beechwood's win bumped their record up to 23-8. As for Fleming County, their loss dropped their record down to 16-13.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Beechwood will face off against Cooper at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Fleming County, they will head out to face off against Bryan Station at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
