Volleyball Recap: Chase Trojans vs. Patton Panthers

Chase was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against the Patton Panthers, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, with their most recent loss being a 3-0 defeat on Thursday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-9, 25-9, 25-19.

Leading Patton to victory were Soraya Hartman and Jolann Buff. Hartman hit 66.7% for six kills and 15 aces and nine digs, while Buff had three digs and three aces. Hartman is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had six or more in each of the last six games she's played. Taryn Bonkowske also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Chase's loss dropped their record down to 6-19. As for Patton, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season.

Chase does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Patton, they will face off against R-S Central at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
