Baseball Recap: Shepard Takes a Loss

The scorekeeper got an easy start on Monday as neither Shepard nor Evergreen Park made it on the board until the fifth inning. The Astros took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mustangs. The Astros haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Shepard's defeat dropped their record down to 11-15-2. As for Evergreen Park, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-9 record this season.

While Shepard had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
