Baseball Game Preview: Cypress Park Tigers vs. Waller Bulldogs

For the second straight game, Cypress Park will face off against Waller. The Tigers will head out to face off against the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

On Tuesday, Cypress Park needed a bit of extra time to put away Waller. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Bulldogs 2-1.

Chris Vizcaino spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on three hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Kai Daniells was excellent, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high.

Cypress Park has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-17 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Waller, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-17-1.
