Mountain View took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Perry, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Toros sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 win over the Pumas on Monday. The victory was familiar territory for the Toros, who have now won seven games in a row.

Daniella Gloria spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on nine hits and racked up nine Ks.

At the plate, Kylynn Sylvester was excellent, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in each of the last five games she's played.

Mountain View's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-6. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Perry, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-10 record this season.

Mountain View is taking a road trip to take on Mesa at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The Toros are facing the Jackrabbits at the right time seeing as the Jackrabbits are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Perry, they will be playing at home against Saguaro at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
