Softball Recap: Spring Grove Takes a Loss

Spring Grove lost against Dover back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Rockets fell 11-8 to the Eagles. The Rockets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Laiken Ilgenfritz made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Jasmine Nassar, who went 3-for-5 with one double and one RBI.

Spring Grove's loss dropped their record down to 5-11. As for Dover, the win got them back to even at 6-6.

Looking ahead, Spring Grove will take on West York Area at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Dover, they will venture away from home to challenge Kennard-Dale at 4:15 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Rams have averaged an impressive 8.7 runs per game this season.
