Softball Recap: Avenal's Undefeated Season over After 12 Games

Avenal suffered their biggest loss since April 30, 2024 on Friday. They lost 7-1 to the Dos Palos Broncos. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Buccaneers' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

Having lost for the first time this season, Avenal fell to 10-1-1. As for Dos Palos, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-6-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Avenal will square off against rival Coalinga at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Buccaneers 3.6, the Horned Toads 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Dos Palos is set to face off against their familiar foe Mendota at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
