Basketball Recap: Crater Takes a Loss

Crater suffered their biggest loss since December 10, 2024 on Friday. They lost 70-47 to the Thurston Colts. The Comets have struggled against the Colts recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Crater now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Thurston, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Crater will venture away from home to square off against Eagle Point at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Eagle Point knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matchups -- so hopefully Crater likes a good challenge. As for Thurston, they will head out to face off against Springfield at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing isn't great for Springfield: they have been struggling with five straight losses at home, while Thurston has snatched up six consecutive wins on the road.
