The D'Evelyn Jaguars will square off against the Conifer Lobos at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. D'Evelyn is coming into the game hot, having won their last six games.
D'Evelyn barely beat Pomona the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Jaguars put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 18-8 win on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Jaguars, who have now won ten matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Kevyn Feldyn, who went 3-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jacob Seda, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: D'Evelyn kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. They are 8-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Conifer came out on top against Green Mountain on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive four-run seventh inning. The Lobos had just enough and edged out the Rams 8-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Lobos have posted since March 25th.
Ethan Ellis was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrew Janasiewicz, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one double.
D'Evelyn's win bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Conifer, their victory bumped their record up to 8-6-1.
Conifer's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: D'Evelyn has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.9 hits per game. It's a different story for Conifer, though, as they've been averaging 9.9 hits. Given D'Evelyn's sizable advantage in that area, the Lobos will need to find a way to close that gap.
D'Evelyn got the 'W' in their previous meeting last Monday against Conifer by a conclusive 13-3 score. Do the Jaguars have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Lobos turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
