Basketball Recap: Turpin Takes a Loss

Turpin and Cheyenne/Reydon squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Turpin had to settle for second. They fell 55-47 to the Cheyenne/Reydon Bears.

Cheyenne/Reydon's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emma Bogges, who went 6-for-7 on her way to 15 points and five steals. The dominant performance also gave Bogges a new career-high in field goal percentage (86%). Kimbo Denney was another key player, going 5-for-9 en route to 12 points in addition to five boards and three blocks.

Turpin's loss dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Cheyenne/Reydon, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-8.

As of now, neither Turpin nor Cheyenne/Reydon have any future games scheduled.
