Football Recap: St. Joseph Academy Crusaders vs. Borrego Springs Rams

While St. Joseph Academy put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Borrego Springs. The St. Joseph Academy Crusaders really took it to the Borrego Springs Rams for the full four quarters, racking up a 58-0 victory at home. The game was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Crusaders had established a 40 point advantage.

Mathew Adams had a dynamite game for St. Joseph Academy, rushing for 302 yards and four touchdowns on only 12 carries. The dominant performance gave him a new career- in rushing yards.

Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, St. Joseph Academy was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 538 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 220 rushing yards in five consecutive contests dating back to last season.

On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to St. Joseph Academy's defense and their four sacks. Josh Clow was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up twohimself.
