Basketball Recap: San Juan Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

San Juan can finally bid farewell to their 26-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Tuesday. They breezed by the Esparto Spartans to the tune of 47-14. This was payback for San Juan, who suffered a 57-40 loss the last time these two teams met.

Despite the defeat, Esparto saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Larry Williams posted seven points. Williams is also crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Angle Torres, who earned a point along with six boards and three blocks.
