Basketball Recap: Freedom Prep Academy Comes Up Short

Freedom Prep Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 2-0 to the Mitchell Tigers, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Eagles lost against the Tigers in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 68-38 score last time.

Freedom Prep Academy's loss dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Mitchell, with the victory, they broke their eight-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-6.

Freedom Prep Academy will square off against Bluff City at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mitchell, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Mitchell Tigers take on the Wooddale Cardinals at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
