Fitzgerald had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.8 points) and they went ahead and made it six on Saturday. They walked away with a 46-39 win over the Lincoln-King Academy Eagles. Given the Spartans' advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 32nd, while the Eagles are ranked 291st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Fitzgerald's victory bumped their record up to 17-3. As for Lincoln-King Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-10.
