Baseball Recap: Bloomfield Comes Up Short

Bloomfield lost against Union City back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Bengals fell just short of the Soaring Eagles by a score of 6-5.

Noah Attas made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Joey Payne, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.

Bloomfield's loss dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Union City, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.

Bloomfield will take on Belleville at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Union City does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
