Softball Recap: Westinghouse Falls to Steinmetz College Prep in First Game of Season

Westinghouse unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell 8-5 to the Steinmetz College Prep Silver Streaks on Monday. The Warriors were not able to make up for their loss to the Silver Streaks from their previous meeting back in May of 2018.

Randi Thomas was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Steinmetz College Prep's win ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Westinghouse is set to face off against their familiar foe Schurz at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Steinmetz College Prep will challenge rival Intrinsic at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
