Baseball Recap: Bethany Community Has No Trouble Against Millennium

Bethany Community got themselves on the board against Millennium on Tuesday, but Millennium never followed suit. Everything went their way against the Millennium Lions as they made off with a 28-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wolves.

Tripp White and Levi Martin made a splash no matter where they played. On the mound, White pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Martin tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. At the plate, White scored a run while going 1-for-3, while Martin scored a run while going 1-for-2.

In other batting news, Jesse Tucker and Brooks McDowell did most of the damage at the plate: Tucker went 3-for-5 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple, while McDowell got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. The dominant performance gave Tucker a new career-high in runs. Nathan West was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2.

Bethany Community always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .500 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Bethany Community now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Millennium, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.
