Baseball Recap: Temecula Prep Snaps Nine-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Temecula Prep dropped their record down to 10-5 on Monday, which also ended the team's nine-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season. They came up short against the San Jacinto Valley Academy Wolves, falling 12-5. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Patriots of the 7-6 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Braden Litt made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Nikolaz Gonzalez, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

As for San Jacinto Valley Academy, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-7. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 11.2 runs.

On San Jacinto Valley Academy's side, Alex Meza was incredible, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs and three RBI. That's the most RBI Meza has posted since back in March. Canon Fletcher was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one triple and two RBI.

Temecula Prep wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 16-0 win against Santa Rosa Academy on the 16th. As for San Jacinto Valley Academy, they have also already played their next contest, a 5-4 victory against Nuview Bridge on the 16th.
