Basketball Recap: Friday's Loss Ends Stuart W. Cramer's Winning Streak

It was a good run, but Stuart W. Cramer unfortunately witnessed the end of their 11-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 61-50 to the Huss Huskies. The Storm were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Huskies earlier this season, when they won 69-47.

Despite the loss, Stuart W. Cramer still got an impressive performance from Oshauna Holland, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 11 rebounds. Holland has been hot for a while, having also posted three or more steals the last 46 times she's played. Another player making a difference was Hadley Womack, who posted 12 points and four steals.

Even though they lost, Stuart W. Cramer was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Huss only racked up five assists.

Huss' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jaleila Littlejohn led the charge by dropping a double-double on 25 points and ten boards. Shemiah McCoy was another key player, going 8 for 14 on her way to 21 points and six rebounds.

Stuart W. Cramer's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 14-2. As for Huss, they pushed their record up to 10-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Stuart W. Cramer and Huss should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings. Stuart W. Cramer (ranked 43rd) will meet Forestview (ranked 322nd) at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Stuart W. Cramer is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.1 points per game this season. Similarly, Huss will challenge Ashbrook at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday up 165 places (115 vs. 280).
