Baseball Game Preview: Poway Titans vs. San Marcos Knights

For the second straight game, Poway will face off against San Marcos. The Titans will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against the Knights at 4:00 p.m. Poway hasn't scored more than two runs for three games straight, a trend the team is eager to reverse.

Monday just wasn't the day for Poway's offense. They lost 6-0 to San Marcos on Monday. That's two games in a row now that the Titans have lost by exactly six runs.

For San Marcos' part, the result came thanks to Carter Tsai's shutout, as he gave up just six hits and racked up eight Ks.

On the hitting side, Max Farrell was incredible, going 1-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Ethan Martinez was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

San Marcos is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.2 runs over those games. As for Poway, their loss dropped their record down to 5-10.
