Football Game Preview: Dresden Lions vs. Middleton Tigers + Official Tickets

The Dresden Lions will take on the Middleton Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Dresden is coming into the contest hot, having won their last eight games.

The home team had won the previous five meetings between Dresden and Lake County, and Dresden kept the tradition alive. The Lions simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Falcons 56-14. Considering the Lions have won seven games by more than 27 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

It was another big night for Luke Di Pietro, who rushed for 187 yards and six touchdowns on only 15 carries. Those six rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Bruce Willis was in the mix too, providing Dresden with two TDs.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Dresden was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 306 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 196 rushing yards in eight consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 40-3, which was the final score in Middleton's tilt against Oakhaven on Friday.

Dresden's record is now 8-2. As for Middleton, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.

Everything came up roses for Dresden against Middleton when the teams last played back in November of 2023, as the squad secured a 68-0 win. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
