Softball Recap: Diamond Ranch Takes a Loss

Diamond Ranch and El Toro squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Diamond Ranch had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Chargers by a score of 5-3. That's two games in a row now that the Panthers have lost by exactly two runs.

Diamond Ranch saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Natalie Macias, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

Diamond Ranch's defeat dropped their record down to 16-11. As for El Toro, the victory got them back to even at 12-12-1.

Diamond Ranch does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for El Toro, they will face off against Quartz Hill at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday. The Royals' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so the Chargers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
