Basketball Recap: Vallejo Comes Up Short

Vallejo lost against Saint Mary back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Vallejo Redhawks took a blow against the Saint Mary's Panthers, falling 77-16. The Redhawks were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-10.

Vallejo's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-15. As for Saint Mary's, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vallejo will welcome Salesian College Preparatory at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Salesian College Preparatory will roll in looking for their 13th straight victory, something Vallejo surely won't give up without a fight. As for Saint Mary's, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Pinole Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Saint Mary's knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Pinole Valley likes a good challenge.
