Basketball Recap: Clarksville Takes a Loss

Clarksville lost against Perry Central back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. 2025 welcomed the Clarksville Generals with a 60-39 loss courtesy of the Perry Central Commodores.

Despite the defeat, Clarksville saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Tiarra Lewis posted 19 points and three steals. That was a full 48.7% of Clarksville's points, marking the third time in a row she's put up more than a third of the team's points.

Clarksville has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Perry Central, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-4.

Clarksville didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 51-41 victory against Rising Sun on the 4th. As for Perry Central, they will face off against Paoli at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
